Tim’s Bio
Timothy Kufrin, E.A. has been admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service as an Enrolled Agent, representing clients before the IRS, since November 2003. Prior to this, he worked as a Revenue Officer in the Collections Division of the Internal Revenue Service for 16 years. Tim graduated from Trinity International University (formerly Miami Christian College) magna cum laude with a degree in Psychology & Counseling and is also a graduate of Phoenix Seminary where he graduated with honors. He and his wife have been Phoenix residents since August 1993 and has been a member of the Better Business Bureau since 2007 where he maintains an A+ rating.
Services Provided
Due to Tim’s extensive collection background in working for the Internal Revenue Service, he understands the collection process and what the IRS can or cannot do to taxpayers. He will work towards the most desirable resolution which may include one or more of the following:
- Installment Agreement
- Currently Uncollectable
- Offer in Compromise
- Bankruptcy Referral (as applicable)
- Penalty Abatement (if qualified)
- Lien Withdrawal
- Other Collection Alternatives
Throughout the collection process, Tim will work to protect clients from unnecessary levy and enforcement actions as well as representing clients in the Appeals process as applicable. He will keep the client informed each step of the way as they work towards resolution in the most cost effective and efficient manner. Should a client need services beyond the scope of what Tim is authorized to do (i.e, representation in tax court), he will refer the client to a highly qualified professional who can assist in the process.
